Prescriptives was an American cosmetics brand established in 1979 by Ronald Lauder, part of the Estée Lauder Companies. Known for its pioneering approach to personalized beauty, Prescriptives offered custom-blend foundations and powders tailored to individual skin tones and concerns, a revolutionary concept at the time.

Although it initially made its mark with cosmetics, Prescriptives also ventured into fragrances, introducing scents that matched its philosophy of personalization and high-quality ingredients. The brand was particularly acclaimed for its custom-blend makeup services, which allowed customers to create a bespoke product that perfectly matched their skin.

Despite its success and a dedicated customer base, Estée Lauder announced the discontinuation of Prescriptives' retail and wholesale operations in 2009, transitioning to an online-only presence before eventually phasing out completely. The closure was a result of competitive pressures and shifts in consumer preferences, but the brand remains remembered for its innovative approach to beauty and skincare.
