Cristalle by Chanel

For Women (1974)
Cristalle Photo

Cristalle by Chanel is a fragrance that is as bitter as a frosty spring morning and as cool as pale porcelain stone. The cold, not tangy-freshening lemon - almost metallic-clear, as if you were bowing a crystal - embeds itself in a delicate heart of hyacinth, light violet and green floral iridescent.

My first bottle of Cristalle was a present from my grandmother back in 1986. After it finished I spent over ten years trying different scents but nothing compared to the wonderful smell of this scent. People always ask me about it it seems Cristalle is the one of the world´s best kept secrets!

This is how a parfum/perfume should be. It's light crisp airy. It evolves throughout the day into something warmer and more comforting. The delicate scent uplifts you.

I have followed this fragrance since its introduction--finding it when supplies were low and panicking during the re-formulation. It replaces my first love of a fragrance bought on my first trip to Paris in 1969 which was discontinued shortly thereafter. All the subsequent trips through the Parisian parfumeries proved fruitless and then I found Cristalle.

It's the only perfume I will use--my signature fragrance.

Cristalle has been my signature fragrance since its introduction in the mid-70's. People often ask what I'm wearing writing it down as I tell them! While I feared that the reformulation would take away my favorite scent I eventually grew used to the eau de parfum with its variation upon the original. Another favorite perfume is Coco Mademoiselle...mmm. Chanel has me--no other scents will do!
